Look Beyond Labels: Uncover the Hidden Factors Behind Symptoms

Discover a naturopathic approach that goes beyond the diagnosis, addressing the gut imbalances, toxins, and nutritional deficiencies that may be affecting your child's autistic symptoms.
This is for you if your child...

✓ has been diagnosed with autism, ADHD, speech delay, or PANS/PANDAS...but you feel there's more to address

✓ isn't making the progress you hoped for in speech therapy, ABA, or occupational therapy

✓ struggles with gut issues, sleep problems, or frequent illness alongside developmental challenges

✓ has tried elimination diets or supplements without clear guidance or testing

✓ has been recommended medication but you want to explore natural, root-cause approaches first

Here's how we support your child's development:

Discover the root causes
Comprehensive functional testing reveals your child's unique imbalances affecting autistic symptoms, from gut health and immune function to nutritional deficiencies and metabolic issues linked to autism spectrum disorder.

Create a personalized autism treatment protocol
Based on test results, we develop a tailored naturopathic plan for autism using natural interventions, targeted supplementation and dietary support specific to your child's biology.

Address triggers systematically

Remove toxins affecting symptoms, heal the gut, restore nutrient balance, and support detoxification, building the foundation for optimal brain development in autism.

Support ongoing progress in development

Monitor improvements in autistic symptoms, adjust protocols as needed, and work alongside your child's existing interventions to maximize their developmental potential.

How It Works

1

Initial Consultation

Start with a 45-minute virtual visit* to review your child’s developmental history, symptoms, diet, and lifestyle. This visit focuses on understanding potential root-cause patterns and determining which functional lab tests are appropriate. You’ll receive general diet and lifestyle guidance to begin supporting your child right away

2

Lab Review

Once lab results are ready, you’ll meet again to go over what the findings reveal, including insights into gut health, inflammation, detox pathways, nutrient status, or other underlying imbalances. This session helps you understand how these results relate to your child’s symptoms and which areas may need support.

3

AlphaCare Program

AlphaCare is a structured, membership-based program that provides ongoing support after your child’s lab results are reviewed. Each month includes a dedicated follow-up visit, messaging access for brief clarifications, symptom tracking, and a personalized plan that guides you through each stage of your child’s healing.

*If you would like to be seen in-person, your child will be scheduled with Dr. Kate or Dr. Shin for the first visit. They will complete a full observation and perform a physical exam if needed. In-person visits are 60 minutes and cost $400.

For years I have been seeing doctors for my son who only prescribe meds to suppress my ASD sons symptoms, however, Dr. Shek is working to find the cause of the symptoms to treat the underlying issues. It is so rare that we have a compassionate and throughly knowledgeable doctor when it comes to PANS/PANDAs and autism. We are so impressed with the changes in our son. It’s remarkable. He’s off all prescription meds, his mood is stable and improved and a noticeable positive change in his demeanor and engagement. He’s no longer hyperactive and much better at regulating himself. I’m seeing more vocalization and communication efforts. Thank you Dr. Shek for being so amazing!!
